I am very excited that we get to work together this year, and I am certain that we will learn and grow together in many ways as the year progresses. You have made an excellent choice to learn another language, and with Spanish being one of the most frequently spoken languages around the world, the
skills you acquire in this class will be beneficial in many settings. I congratulate you on your decision to take this course.
Classroom Procedures and Requirements
1-Grading Scale:
A= 93-100
B= 83-92
C= 73-82
D= 63-72
F= below 63
2-All tests and quizzes will be announced.
3-Homework must be complete to receive full credit. Late assignments will only be accepted with the teacher’s permission.
4- Due to absence, all work must be completed the returning day if the student was notified previously of the work; this includes tests and quizzes. If the student was not aware of the work due to the absence, students must make up work in a time frame equal to the number of days plus one. If work is not completed in due time, then the work is graded as a “0”.
5-RESPECT The teacher will respect his students. The students will respect their teacher. Everyone will respect each other.
6-Be on time and be prepared to learn.
7-Please ask for extra help when needed.
8-Please do not drink/eat during Spanish class.
9-The use of cell phones in class is not allowed.
These rules are to ensure we maintain an enjoyable atmosphere. GRACIAS
This paper is to be signed by the student and a parent/guardian and returned to the teacher for a homework grade.
